My lawnmower won't start. posts: 4

It's Craftsman. sitting for about a year. gas in tank. pull rope turns engine, won't catch.
engine stored facing uphill in cool, dark area. stored with gas. attempted start on level area..

hasn't been started in a couple of years. I changed the oil, spark plug, and clean the fuel line out then added new gas. Any ideas?
